
Ginger’s head was pounding, she was dripping in sweat. Correction--pouring sweat and covered in blood. The thing had just mounted the corner and was moving in her direction. She panicked and felt her legs trembling.
God help her.
The thing was moving so fast that she was convinced that she wouldn’t make it out alive. It suddenly stopped halfway in the corridor. Ginger stiffened. She was hiding behind, a rusty, half broken, wooden clothes cupboard.
Her heart beat was accelerating at high speed. She knew she had to calm down if she didn’t want him to find her. She imagined that she was playing hopscotch with her friends, although she had never played hopscotch before. Visualization is a powerful tool her drama teacher would tell her. It should have helped to slow her heart rate down a notch. The creature was searching around.
It was looking for her. Please, no, don’t look this way! ...............................
